Is getting a new headshot on your to-do list for this year? Sometimes figuring out what to wear can be more stressful than the actual photo shoot (but don't worry, it's not worth stressing about!).

To make your decision easier, I've put together some great outfit ideas from my Detroit headshot studio over the past year or so.

Here are some key tips to keep in mind when choosing your outfit:

• Make sure your clothes fit properly. When in doubt, go for a fitted look rather than something too loose (even if it's a bit snug).
• Stick to solid colors rather than patterns to avoid distractions. If you want to change things up, light patterns can be a good choice for a second outfit.
• Keep your jewelry simple and minimal.
